Parent/Teacher Communication
Close communication between parent and teacher is vital in the development of your child, and is strongly encouraged by the staff of St Dominic Savio School.
An opportunity for Parent/Teacher Interview is offered formally mid-year with an option for an end-of-year interview if required. Teachers and/or parents may request an interview at any other time should the need arise.
A report card is sent home at the end of each quarter. This is to assess the child’s academic performance and progress during the course of the year. The report card must be signed by both parents and returned to the school. Merit awards and medals will also be given to the children during the course of the year.
Besides the quarterly report cards, a discipline and work report will be issued to each child every two or three weeks. This report, while informing the parents of the child’s progress or difficulties, will also encourage the child in his personal efforts all through the year.
